I am so grateful that you were my midwife! I felt so safe and calm during my birth – which made it go faster I think! I will never forget the kindness and love I felt in the room. Slicia
Thank you so much for all you did to help me have the birth of my dreams. I will never forget how you were there for me during the hardest part at the end of my labor.
You were calm and kind, just what I needed. I felt truly cared for as you brought me a birthing ball, and so many things after the birth. You were there to answer all of my questions during postpartum, bringing me a DVD to watch, a breast pump and a book – all of which were used and so helpful.
You are a wealth of knowledge and I like how you always have researched different topics that I ask about. You are an amazing midwife and I am so fortunate to have had you as part of my birth.
I’m so thankful to have had you as a midwife. Your calming nature and peaceful disposition really helped put my mind at ease and gave me the confidence I needed to have a smooth labor and delivery. Thank you for your kindness – you will always be a special part of our family.
Thank you so much for an amazing birth experience! It was also wonderful and we will always remember it was such happiness.
Sincerely, Kate, Raime, Austin, Grace, and Caroline
I am so grateful that you were my midwife for Maive’s birth! When I first started reading about the midwives at The Far,m your bio stood out to me. I thought, “I hope she will be my midwife,” and then you returned my call! It was meant to be! I am continually inspired and amazed by how much you have accomplished in your life. And it has all come together to make you an excellent midwife as well. I felt so safe and calm during my birth – which made it go even faster I think! I will never forget the kindness and love I felt in the room – and I know Maive felt it too. Thanks for everything. Love, Slicia
Chris and I just wanted to say thank you for your presence at his birth and for the care you gave us after the birth. We don’t know what we would have done without you and your invaluable knowledge! We will look back on this day and the week following his birth with nothing but warm, loving memories. Emmett is so lucky to be able to come into this world surrounded by such an amazing loving woman and for that we thank you!
With love, Evy, Chris and Emmett
Here is my delightful Farm baby at 2 years old.
Thank you for bringing her into this world with so much love and gentleness, and for sharing wisdom that I will use for the rest of my life:)
We are so grateful to have found The Farm Midwives and specifically to have had you as our guide through Oliver’s incubation and arrival. I have thought a lot about his birth and believe that it was because of our complete trust in you and subsequent lack of stress or anxiety that his birth went so well and progressed so quickly. We are forever grateful that you were part of our first moments as a family. The Farm has become a very special place for us… we will be back for round two in a few years!
Love, Kira, Tom and Oliver
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the huge impact you had on my life. Thank you for helping me find courage, strength, and confidence when I needed reassurance. Thank you for helping me have an empowering, healing birth that I will never forget. Any woman that has you as their midwife is extremely blessed. You are so loved and deeply appreciated.
Love, Sarah, Matt, Evee, and Lara Lynn
I’m so happy with my birth experience. I was so encouraged the entire time. Robbie and my midwives were amazing.
If we ever had another baby, I would not hesitate returning to The Farm.

Dearest Deborah, We are so grateful that you could be at the birth of Bernadette Rose. Your warmth and expertise were exactly what we needed and wanted in a midwife. It was truly a perfect experience (and so fast!). I don’t think we could thank you enough. Our family is complete. Thank you for being with us and guiding us through this journey.

We were both overjoyed to be pregnant, but the joy was quickly tempered by a string of medical professionals who diagnosed me with AMA (Advanced Maternal Age). I kid you not, because of my age (40) all of my other attributes were dismissed and I was treated as if I was defective. Forget the fact that I have been a vegetarian for years, completed a marathon well into my 30s…none of this mattered and none of this would qualify me to do what my body was built to do…bear my child! I saw an OB/GYN who called me “high-risk” and was nearly penciling my C-Section on the first visit.
I went to a (Nurse) midwife who told me I was going to be induced at 37 weeks and connected to an IV, period, and if these were things I was unwilling to go along with, perhaps I should find another practice. I decided that I should indeed find another practice.
I have the most supportive husband in the world and he was willing to take a trip to The Farm Midwifery Center in hopes of putting an end to the tears he faced after each of my previous appointments. The Farm Midwives are among the best in the world, and with a 1.7% C-Section rate, compared with a national rate of 34% (and rising), I like my odds.
We had our initial visit with the woman who was to become our midwife, Deborah Flowers. After 4 loving hours spent with her, we left the clinic for the first time no longer feeling broken, but instead feeling empowered and excited about my pregnancy and upcoming birth.
After 5 monthly visits Luke and I settled in for our final stay. My due date was July 17, which came and went with no labor. I went into labor on July 20th, the date of my late father’s birthday. I labored for 19 hours (with no medication, no unnatural interventions) and our beautiful daughter Zoe was born at 12:51 AM, missing my dad’s birthday by an hour. Before my labor, I told Deborah that maybe my body was waiting, that part of me thought that she should be born on the 20th to honor Dad. Deborah, always knowing exactly what to say, said, Maybe she will be born on his birthday, or maybe she will want her OWN birthday.” Zoe chose her own!
